Dismounted Philadelphia Dragoons at Princeton

The Philadelphia Light Horse Dragoons at Princeton.

During the Battle of Princeton, the PLH prevented the capture of American Artillery by dismounting and forming a skirmish line. This allowed the American guns to escape.

I wanted to portray a light dusting of snow combined with freezing rain on the bases.
Kind of a slush/ice mixture.

I think that it worked out well.

Indeed.  I know you've used similar basing before but somehow this just seems better.  It might be the colors of the uniforms?  Good job.

15's,
Probably because this is a later effort.
I got a bit better at it by learning from my past attempts (and mistakes!)
