Frothers Unite! UK Pro-Am Sculpting Competition 2009
« on: 27 October 2009, 09:20:18 AM »
I was lucky enough to get hold of a set of the Winners/Runners-up, from the recent Frothers Sculpting Competition (probably helps that I was one of the judges) ahead of them going on sale in the Frothers webshop, in order that I could get them painted up for the second installment of "Nightmare on Frother Street", at FIASCO, on 1st November.  PLEASE NOTE: AS OF NOW (27TH OCTOBER) THESE AREN'T AVAILABLE FOR SALE YET - please don't hassle the nice chaps on Frothers yet - i'll post an update when they are up in the shop!

I've based most on 2 pence pieces - the Tanks are on larger (40mm) bases, with inserts from Fenris.  The hospital zombie, and "climbing out of the ground zombie", have had a bit of milliput added to make their existing bases round, and then stuck on 2p's.  Finally, , with apologies to Ben from Black Bat Bases, but the Raven, is only primed, as i'm planning to add it to another mini, rather than as a standalone piece.... ;)

Winner - Survivors

Winner - Horde Zombies

Winner - "Special" Zombies

Just to reiterate - they aren't available to buy yet, but will be shortly.

I'll post an update on this thread when they are up for sale, in the Frothers webshop.

Oh right the old..... 'not got dround to any photo's' story eh?

THIS IS FROTHER...... erm no it isn't, so I'd be very pleased if you could post a few up, if you've got time and you're not too busy!

There's a bit of a 'zombies flashing their bums' theme going on here, isn't there? Very weird.

Great sculpts though. I (whispering) don't do the zombie thing myself, but I can see that news crew in flak jackets being pressed into action down at Oxiana Towers. Smashing stuff.

Will you be at FIASCO...?

I'm up to 338 now, so we should have a fair horde on show.
