Mellal's workbench : multi-use minis and sceneries
« on: March 02, 2023, 04:56:59 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm often paiting some Fantasy stuff and i wanted to share them here. No specific game system in mind, I'm playing a a lot of different things, it depends on the mood and (mostly) opponents/comrades.

First of all, few objectives from Cursed City but also a big druidic roc and a Reaper mini dragon that I sarted a while ago. No preasure painting, using mostly contrast and such paints for the objectives.

Then, a changeling from Astrahys that I painted a friendly painting competition, theme : "fly". I was not so inspired at first, I could only think about Thailand's Statue with its hat so... I searched for birds from there and found the common green magpie that inspired me for the color scheme. I tried my best to transpose it on the mini.

I think that came out as an inspired colour choice for a changeling!

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

I agree, it looks quite good. Having multiple colours kind of gives the impression that it could change into any of them, as well as change shape. The other bits and pieces all look great, too.

Thanks a lot guys, I really enjoyed painting the changeling mixing blue, green and red in base coats, shadow and highlights.
