Looking for the name of a Napoleonic wargame
« on: 02 March 2023, 11:23:12 PM »
Hi

I am hoping someone here can help me - I am looking for the name of an older Napoleonic wargame where each side used 100s of dice in different colors as army actions stamina and morale and when the dice ran out the game was over. I remember reading a review but can't find it. I think it was only available on CDROM from a small website.

Thanks in advance!

Zouave and/or March or Die.  You can get a hard copy too.

Die Fighting by Bob Jones of Repique Rules, published 2011. It had a mechanism that allowed players to gamble on the game, a feature I didn't need.
It played OK but my taste has been running to simpler, faster games.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Do you know where you got your hard copy from? The RepiqueRules site only has the CDROM version - which is useless to me unfortunately.

Useless to most anyone these days Chris.

I bought mine on ebay.  Intrigued I've just had a look at it.  It is numbered 00063 perhaps indicating a limited print run/edition.  As Vincent notes above published in 2011.

Hope that helps.
