So these are Steve Shanns boards not mine, they are made from layers of flock and static grass, built up in different levels to give differing effects. Not sure if he talks about it on his blog which is here https://steve-nationsinarms.blogspot.com/

Nice looking game and report.

On the rules front, have you ever tried Rank and File? I like them a lot better, play fast, easy to pick up. An easy to add-on command and control rules.
