Any other LAFers going to make it to Vancouver in ten days or so for Trumpeter Salute 2023?

I'll be there and running WW2 coastal naval on Saturday afternoon, planning Kreigsmarine S-boats vs an RN-escorted coastal convoy hauling coal to London to keep the lights on.

(every year I get an uptick in blog traffic around this time as I start talking about Trumpeter Salute out here on the west coast of Canada and folks start looking for the much larger much more famous Salute show in London usually held a few weeks after our little west coast show!)

Sadly, I am not going to make it this year. I didn't get my act together soon enough and organise the time off work.

Will's What A Tanker game was excellent fun Friday night, I ran a WW2 coastal fast boat game Saturday afternoon that went well, and overall it was a great weekend.

Definitely off-peak, though. Not sure what the numbers through the doors looked like, but there were empty tables and unsubscribed games in pretty much every schedule block. Hopefully as things settle 2024 will be a return to form and busy tables!
