No big surprise that they are both very good. Well they are semi-finalists.
If I am having difficulty deciding this kind of thing I use the following 'rules':-
Is it good?      Both = yes.
is it very good?  Both = yes.
Does it have nice details?  Both = yes.
Would I like it in my collection? Both  yes.
If I had to pay to have it, would I part with hard cash? Chinese temple just, only just tipped it.

Yeah both great pieces on the opposite ends of each other, one very clean and precise and the other over the top teaming with chaos, and both worthy winners.

This was probably the tightest semi-final ever.
Congratulations to both for the splendid show, but ichwillauch and the Needle Rock Portal make it to the final. I'll confess I loved both of these entries, Overlord's Chinese Temple was definitely a superb and enviable model too.
