Painting Sir Thomas Neville

Because I like to be different, I've recently been working on a small Wars of the Roses project.
Anyhow, the leader I settled on for my forces was Sir Thomas Neville, the Bastard of Fauconberg. However, I've looked all around the internet, and can't find anything about the livery colours that he wore, or could have worn. Could anyone lend any assistance?

The Wiki on the Neville (Nevill) family shows the family coat of arms as a saltire cross in argent across a field in gules, so silver cross on a red background would probably do the trick.
