The necromancer made off with an artifact from the Cultural Center in the Great Northern City. While no one knows what this artifact is, they know that if a scoundrel the likes of a necromancer wants it, they don't want him to have it. An adventuring party is assembled to track him down and recover the item. Necrivious the Crafty decided to flee through the woods in a cart. No one can catch him now.
Here is a picture of the path through the woods.

The small swarm of do-gooders thinking that a great pay-off is at hand speeds off after Necrivious. The Furfoot is driving the cart and the dwarf sidekick is standing behind him to supervise. The elf off to the right of them with the 6 gang of Scrags to provide fodder for the slaughter. Behind them is a last minute gang of 5 human archers. And last but not least is the leader, the adventuring party's Sage, Killian the Sly.

Waiting at the end of the path is the necromancer's friends. A horde of skeletons just waiting to remove the flesh from the living. Of course, Necrivious must first get through the woods.

Last but not least is the dirty foul unscrupulous creature known as Necrivious. He has robbed every grave yard in the county. He has no morals and will steal your beer the moment you turn your head to look at the tavern wench(sic).

The game lasted only 4 turns. Necrivious had such a bad day he was bereft of luck from the moment his hands were laid on the artifact. He only wanted to imbue the artifact with power and slay the royal family to take over the lands. What's wrong with that? Everyone else does it, why can't he? Unfortunately the slain gods just were not on his side.
He maneuvered around the first turn in the woods but could not negotiate the second. He ran his cart into the brush as a hail of arrows from the elf put holes in his mana pool (blood). This happened even though he had the effects of both rings. Those do-gooders ran him to ground like a worthy dog early on. He just was not fast enough. Despite having two mana chips to power spells he still failed all of his recovery rolls. This spelled his doom.
When searching his body the group found the artifact, one spent(shattered) Ring of Slur and a new Ring of Blur still with three charges. His two mana chips were spent also. A small amount of glory was to be had and the drinks are on the township. ooh, beer!
The Ring of Slur reduces all enemies attacks in melee by 1. The Ring of Blur reduces all ranged attacks fired at the caster by 2. The mana chips will allow the health recovery of a failed health roll from a wound used to power a spell. Necrivious also had the use of the Hand of Fate, Push and Share the Pain spells.
I used carts for the wagons that I could not find. I must have left them in another tote. That is why the horses were not yet painted. I didn't expect I would need them. All is good, they still worked the same. Enjoy!
