Fantasy Sports Painting Club?
« on: 19 July 2023, 04:41:28 PM »
To get our new Fantasy Sports Board going, does anyone fancy a Painting Club? If there's enough interest?

Blood Bowl, Dreadball, Dungeon Bowl, Quidditch  Rumbleslam, Burrows and Badgers Shinty, etc?

Good idea. Maybe limit it to 50 instead of the usual 100?

We'll see if we get any more interest. Another thing I was thinking of was a 'Show us your team' thread, where people can post their favourite painted Fantasy Sports teams. They needn't be newly painted, just their personal choices, with perhaps a little blurb on why?

I reckon a "Show Us Your Team" thread might be the way to go. I'm currently painting up an Undead BB team, might spur me on.

Sounds good. I'm thinking it could be an old team you particularly like too.

What exactly is a forum “Paint Club”?

The original idea was to have members paint one miniature from a specific board of the forum. WWII, Fantasy, Big Battalions etc. There was a cap of 100 entries, but you were allowed to enter as many miniatures as you like. Each participant earned the right to add a competition badge designed and themed specifically for the sub board in question.

themed forum painting sticky post, if you check some of the other boards like fantasy etc, you will see different ones. but basically interested parties paint up some minis to match the theme.

Usually some basic rules apply

eg - read this as an example:

Its been a while since we had one so it may not normally be my subject but yeah I +1 the idea!

Yeah, it's a bit of fun and a good way to push on with some figures. I'll look at doing this after the summer, when people are more likely to be available.
