Great looking games there and good reports. One thing I'd suggest is more terrain, especially scatter terrain that'll break up those long sight-lines. Archery and ranged spell use can be pretty devastating (as you've found out), so if you can put more big pieces of scatter terrain in the way, those pesky archers won't be able to dominate the field.

@Rick - Thank you! Yes, this is very good advice. I know the rulebook emphasises this, and while it made the elemental balls a bit more deadly in my first game, it wasn't too big a deal as there were no missile weapons involved.

With the elves having a ranger and two archers in the second game they were pretty lethal though.

While I wanted to break up the middle of the village a bit more, I'd completely run out of fantasy compatible terrain at that stage  :?. Will have to work on this, after accumulating sci fi terrain over the past few years...
More scatter items will be the best bet, as I'll need to shoe horn anything new into my overly cramped sanctioned cupboard and bureau.  lol

Cheers  :)

Barrels.
I use a few big (50 or 60mm) bases with 2-high stack of renedra barrels on them. Gives a sorta fantasy touch and is a nice big lump in the way of shooting!  lol

Thanks @Rick, good suggestion. This is also the ideal excuse to buy the model well I've always wanted. Can't beat a good well.  :)
