« on: August 09, 2023, 05:09:40 PM »
A set of infantry figures wearing the pixie suit.
Heads are separate choose either the Glider beret, turtle or in the case of Canadians in particular they seem to have used the Para helmet.

£ 6.99 + cost of head packs

Genuine question. Did the motorised battalions really kit people out in pixie suits or was it odd examples of personal choice/ aquisition? Seems like an expensive exercise for something which is a fairly impractical bit of kit for anyone not riding around in a tank.

Must say I have never seen pixie suits worn by infantry before but I can only presume there are extant photos of such.

carlos marighela,
The Motor Batt infantry spent most of their time riding around in Cariers and half tracks so the pixie was both practical and much needed in the Fall and winter of 44/45.
The reference I used was via Victory 1945 Western Allied Troops in NWE ( Osprey Elite 209) cant find the IWM reference codes at the moment.
