Empress two wheeled Indian cart.
« on: September 17, 2023, 06:08:17 PM »
I have the two wheeled cart as above. I think that it is in the Indian Mutiny range. I intend to use it for my Jazz Age figures. My question is regarding the cover. Is it canvas or similar or is it wood. Grateful for any help. Thanks. F

Pretty sure it's cloth of some kind, either canvas or something similar.  I don't have any handy close-ups but my simply painted version can be seen in these 2 pics from an 1880 Battle of Kandahar AKA: Baba Wali 140th Anniversary game back in 2020:

Thank you very much. I think I had settled on a canvas top, research on internet shows lots with a sort of wicker cover. The model has a faint cross hatch pattern. This is what confused me. But canvas will do nicely. F
