Size comparison for gangsters
« on: September 22, 2023, 09:38:12 AM »
I have a heap of Citadel gangsters...old 25mm, so small by todays standards.
I see that Blue Moon Manufacturing do The Night Chicago Died in 15mm ( maybe 18mm?)
Does anyone have a comparison shot for these figures?
Long shot I know, but hoping that the Blue Moon figures could be useful for civilians etc if they fit sizewise

Bluemoon gangsters are 18 mm but that is a far cry from 25 mm - unless you mean their 28 mm range which I have no knowledge about.  Don't see the range of cars they use to have (in 25/28 mm).

Not familiar with the old Citadel gangsters but they'd have to be Really Small to match to 18 mm figures.

I'm doing it in 18 mm including the buildings offered by Bluemoon - and sourcing vehicles from other ranges, WWI often useful, sometimes Matchbox cars, also Spanish Civil War stuff can sometimes work. Of course, I am not a 'purist' so as long as fits in well enough, that is good enough for me.

Cheers, thought as much.
The citadel gangsters are small by today's standards, but not 18mm

Do note that the Bluemoon 18 mm Chicago buildings are plenty large enough to be used with 20 mm figures and, at a pinch, might serve for smaller 25 mm figures, perhaps too large for 15 mm - though I think designed for 18 mm skirmish games so larger not so bad.  Nice buildings.

I have the Blue Moon gangsters and they are on the taller side, similar to Copplestone. The only smaller ones I have seen, beside Citadel, are the Grenadier Miniatures that also had a few packs of 25mm gangsters. Not sure where these can be found today...

The old glory gangsters are very close, I painted a mix for a client a number of years ago.

Cheers
