Does anyone have a copy of this little rule set from many years ago?

But if I find it I'll let you know

That was the first set of rules I bought/used when I returned to wargaming (which was when I joined LAF in 2008). I’m sure I still have them, it’s just a matter of finding them.

My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

I’ll see if I can find them online whilst searching today.

Update

So far no luck. I’ve found information but no pdf or physical place to buy. It looks like they were released in 2004 and came with early bolt action miniature sets (Authors/designers names seem to be Andrew Fisher (II) , David Hawkin , Simon Bargery). Have found someone with them to trade so I’ll check that for you.

Yes, this is free scenario book with firefight rules used.

Firefight rules were kind of beta version, but maybe were polished in this Academy, I don't know.

USSR - tried to find it but nothing in internet. It was some beta version of Bolt Action rules?

USSR is a skirmish set written by the owners of the Bolt Action line before it was sold to Warlord Games.

I have PM'd you about the rules as I have a set

No help I'm afraid, just adding my voice to the choir of people also interested in seeing these rules - I had no idea bolt action ever existed separate from warlord.

The company was Bolt Action Miniatures and was run by Simon Bargery.

He sold the range to Warlord who eventually replaced the very fine Paul Hicks sculpts with more action based rather less subtle sculpts...

The USSR rules have no connection with the Bolt Action rules.  They are a set of Skirmish rules for small actions with 6 men a side.
