SYW Combat of Wittenberg

Besides the Imagi-Nations State of Wittenberg, there was a real combat that took place near the city of Wittenberg, in Saxony-Anhalt, on 2 October 1760.

The scenario map and the table setup

On the hill, is Luszinki's Brigade.
Behind them, the Austro-Imperial Grenadier Brigade.

 On the Left Wing the Austro-Imperials have two Cavalry Brigades. On the Austro-Imperial Right Wing is Kleefeld's Brigade.

Prussians:
Their Grenadiers guarded the left hill.
The Central hill is manned by an Infantry Brigade.
At their far right they posted a Fusilier Brigade.

Before the first moves, both opponents cannonaded each other for three rounds. So, several units started the game with one hit already

Greg starts moving his left wing against the Prussians while Nick gathers his Grenzers to attack the woods at his right

Reichsarmee units approaching the village of Teuchel at the center. The village was burning before the real battle to start

Nick makes a wide detour to outflank the Prussians

Miltiades moves the Prussian cavalry and shifts a grenadier battalion towards the woods to anticipate the outflanking attempt

Reichsarmee troops milling around the flaming ruins of Teuchel village receive a hard cannonade and they soon have to retreat

Greg sends the Austrian Dragoons for a frontal attack against the hill. They are received with heavy musketry, get 4 hits and, before to charge home tumble back to reform

Greg's attacking spirit is aflame! He sends his grenadiers to attack the hill while the rest of his  cavalry is menacing the Prussian Fusilier Brigade

The Austrian grenadiers stop to exchange musketry with the Prussians on the central hill

The situation at the Prussian left: The Prussians have more than enough units to fend off the Austrian invasion in the woods

Greg orders a second desperate charge on the hill with another Dragoon regiment. Both the Dragoons and the Prussian battalion annihilate each other.
A gap is opened, but to exploit it, the Austro-Imperials need more rounds. Too late, as the game came to its end.
The Prussians lost one unit while the Austro-Imperials three. The Austro-Imperial plan to dislodge the Prussians from the hills, failed.
