I don’t think I recognise any of the figures here, or have any idea what is going on!

But it looks great fun!!

Sure, the game is Shieldbash by Zombiesmith miniatures:
https://zombiesmith.com/woa/

It's their skirmish game set in their whimsical world full of muppet like creatures. There's well-to-do norman muppets, inbred viking muppets, roman hamsters, ravenous pudgy toads, polynesian lizards, and amazon muppets that banded together because they were tired of the man muppets always fighting.

We're playing 400 point forces here, which are around 12-16ish models a side and about a $40 investment maybe? The rules are free and fairly simple.  There's a haggling mechanic that we admittedly mostly forget and/or play wrong.

My buddy Karl and I started playing maybe seven years ago? I mentioned it on a car ride down to a con and we slowly started building up forces. When the pandemic started we lamented about not being able to play games at stores. Shieldbash needs a 2x2' table, so Karl decided to host the inaugural ShIT at his place. Since then we've slowly grown, getting more guys from our regular gaming group into it.

Loving those models - something completely different for a change. They have a great aesthetic and paint up nicely. Looking forward to seeing more from the annals of ShiT.

They are different, ya. There's pics from the third and second tournament on my blog: https://the-epic-gamer.blogspot.com/search/label/ShieldBash

I don't think I grabbed pics at the first one as the lighting wasn't great and I didn't have my tripod.
