Tin Shed's Cold War Brits... more added 23/10
« on: October 16, 2023, 06:37:22 PM »
Got sent some previews of TSG's cold war Brits (that you might have seen in his WIP thread) - I love colouring in Mark's minis; they might not be the 'best' technically but they ooze character and an old-school charm. There's apparently another pack to come as well and, I think, they're being released this coming weekend.....

Lovely paint job on some terrific sculpts , full of character and animation.

I have checked with 1st Corps and they are not due for imminent release - update asap.

They did explain that their new ‘ Internal Security’ range in 28mm are due for release at the end of this month , October ‘23. I have painted these figures and for those who miss the Mike Bravo range - these are better in my opinion. 👍😬👍

These look cool, makes me wonder what else 1st corps has coming out?

A new range of Internal Security figures for the ‘Cold War ‘ period: SAS , Squaddies, x Rays , RUC , 14 Int etc etc … released end of this month!!

Worth noting that the BAOR range has different head gear available .👍

I need these for my 1970s post-apocalyptic games. Hope a Bren gets included in the range

These look great.  I guess they will go well with the old Mongrel Cold War Brits.

Good question that - how do they compare to the Mongrel range? I’ve a few of those too…

Those were (very) early Paul Hicks sculpts, yes? If so, these are a bit bigger all round but similar proportions. So, imo, fine on the same table but not in the same unit.

In other news, received the last 4 this morning; got a lot on this week but will try and find time to colour them in.

That’s good, thank you and yes, I think that Mr Hicks did them.  Iirc the Mike Bravo figs were much beefier, hence my concern
