Zorro's Horse's tail

Um, maybe I am missing the obvious (not the first time) but how did all of you attach the tail to Zorro's Horse in the Blue Moon California set from O. G.?

Um, maybe I am missing the obvious (not the first time) but how did all of you attach the tail to Zorro's Horse in the Blue Moon California set from O. G.?

The horse I got was a one piece casting with the tail going straight out and up a bit. Zorro needed his sword hand glued in to the hole in his arm and was then attached to the horse. It sounds like you may have a broken horse tail there.

It seemed odd that it was so hard to figure out where/how it attached without going to the vendor site to check out a picture.
