These Royalist cavalry are the start of a new project and are 40mm Sash and saber and Romanoff ECW miniatures.
I haven't seen that much painted ECW in this scale so i wanted to share them here. The cornets are hand painted and are a bit larger in scale than in reality but i like them that way. I have given them plenty of floppy feathered hats and drawn swords as you would expect from any self respecting Royalist.

If I was starting all over again, I think I would do most things in 40mm.
Love the size, much easier to paint and love the weight of the figures.

They are much kinder on the old eyes for sure!

Beautiful work on those. Thankfully Bloody Miniatures scratched my itch pretty well.
