Skeletal Horses
« on: 23 November 2023, 11:11:48 PM »
Don't know if anyone else has posted about them but Wargames Atlantic has a new set coming out.

It will fill a hole in the market for plane skeletal cavalry or chariots.

That would be an excellent addition indeed to their existing skeleton infantry set.

They do look a bit chunky though, especially compared to the multipart earlier skeletons they did (you know; the ones with the separate feet).
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Despite seeming similar, I believe wargames Atlantic has nothing to do with wargames factory (they of tiny fragile skeleton / hardsuit kickstarter drama fame)

Any clues on the timing?  I have an undead project kicking off but can swap a couple of projects if they are coming soon?

Looking forward to these when they're released. I have an idea for undead centaurs and I'm hoping these will be able to be converted without too much pain.

They make me think of the skeleton horde (I think it was called and I’m guessing it was intentional) boxed set from GW many, many years ago.

Looks just like a GW sprue. Right down to the fact that you can't fit those skeletons inside the organism they claim to have come out of, and the completely inaccurate pelvis on the horse.
NOT buying a 28mm WW2 army for the foreseeable. Deal with it.

Everyone knows that the necromantic energies fuelling their motion swells the bones up by a fair bit. Does terrible things to a pelvis, too!

I think there are matching chariots planned as well.

My thoughts exactly; they will fit perfectly next to old GW skellies...

Nostalgia never goes out of style particularly when the imagery sticks so so well.

The time of the Orc has come.
