What am I going to do now?
« on: December 19, 2023, 07:46:09 PM »
Bought some Tabletop Workshop castle bits from Northstar, added a ziterdes tower and one from Renedra and it just grew.
Made the mistake of following Gareth Lane (he of this parish) too closely and listening to Martin Brook on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watchv=QNymSvkhOHo&list=PLEYbpEflCP_rGOHU7njcan4G9mxWPXIDI&index=1

Had some Baron's war figures that needed a home but have since acquired a load of Perry WOTR figures and now 100YW figures and I'm butterflying off again

That's all well and good but I've since acquired a 3d printer and found this site https://www.printablescenery.com/product-category/historic/middle-ages/

Sweet terrain! It’s just a shame that castle assaults are one my least favorite forms of gaming.  “Never mind maneuvers, just get at them” is about all that happens. Roll lots of dice and hope the forlorn hope makes it in. Still I guess if the spectacle of such wonderful buildings is there, I won’t mind the general lack of tactical decisions.

The cost of getting anything in NZ was prohibitive, I've always loved the ruined church they make in the WW2 range. In the end I decided that buying a printer made economic sense!
