Black River Blues - A Fistful of Lead game. (28/10/24)
« on: 05 January 2024, 03:00:20 PM »
Had our first game of 2024 last night. Decided to go back to the Old West and runthrough the scenarios in the 'For a Fistful More: Scenarios for Fistful of Lead' scenario book. Picking the first scenario 'The Waterin' Hole' as the basis for the game. Hopefully kickstarting a bit of a campaign.

Whilst on a manhunt for the 'Bad Hombres' gang, Marshal Bill and his posse have stopped for some rest and a much needed meal. What the Marshal doesn't know is that the 'Bad Hombres' led by Ricardo are about to spring an ambush in the canyon.

If you want to know how the game went, then there's an AAR on the blog https://nozzawargaming.blogspot.com/2024/01/ambush-at-canyon-fistful-of-lead-game.html.

Needless to say, there will be a sequel, but not before we rerun this scenario with a Star Wars vibe.

Doc:  "Dang it, Deputy.  You've been drinkin' again.  Here, drink this coffee".

Deputy:  "Thanks.  I feel much better now".

BANG

Deputy:  "Argh"

Oh well, that's how it goes.  Lovely report...sounds like it's time for the Marshall, or maybe Ricardo, or maybe both, to seek their revenge...

That's pretty much the conversation on the night. Sure you weren't eavesdropping?  lol

Revenge is planned for the next chapter!

He's out back - A Fistful of Lead Game
« Reply #7 on: 26 January 2024, 05:09:56 PM »
Another scenario from the 'For a Fistful More: Scenarios for Fistful of Lead' scenario book. This time a variation of the 2nd scenario - "Jack's out back".

Marshal Bill and his posse take on Ricardo and 'The Bad Hombres' again.

Who wins?

Only FFofL can do this!
I've had an epic this very afternoon, could have gone either way, right down to the end.

Massacre at Briar's Bend - A Fistful of Lead Game (Updated 01/03/24)
« Reply #9 on: 01 March 2024, 02:38:48 PM »
Managed to get another game of A Fistful of Lead in last night. This time the "Massacre at Briar's Bend" scenario from 'For a Fistful More: Scenarios for Fistful of Lead'. No Marshal Bill and his Posse this time, as for this scenario, it was Native American Braves versus the US Cavalry.

If you want to know how the game went, then there's an AAR on the blog: https://nozzawargaming.blogspot.com/2024/03/massacre-at-briars-bend-fustful-of-lead.html

Great looking set up Noz, and a very entertaining AAR!
We've chosen the same scenario for the next encounter of Captain Brittle's C Troop, with the Hostiles led by The Great Lame Beaver.

:o

2 good games.  Glad to see Ricardo will face justice!  But too bad for those "long knives"...
