Looking for Humanoid Robots
« on: January 20, 2024, 11:10:16 PM »
I've been playing a lot of City of Heroes and really like the Praetorian Clockwork designs, particularly the basic humanoid sweeper bots. They're kindasorta similar to the bots in I Robot. So I'd like to find some miniatures kind of like them...

But looking around online, I don't find much close... stuff I see is either big ape-looking bots (massive torso, tiny legs) or very mechanical/skeletal looking things.
I'm not looking for an exact match, just a line of android figures that have a similar aesthetic, with or without weapons.

Any friendly suggestions?

I have been looking for years, and telling various miniature designers they could make a mint.

There's one in the Reaper Range, but otherwise...even on Etsy....it is a hard find.

Gringo40s has some that may fit the bill, albeit most rather military in weapons and attire:

And a variety in the Crooked Dice range:

There are these, though they have guns.

They were originally from Crossover Miniatures.

There are also these from Gringo's 40

Heresey (possibly some of which were Antenocites)

You could give these a go from the Infinity line:

The older versions might be more to your liking if you can track them down.

There are quite a few different humanoid robots in the line you might want to check out.

The basic robot from Hero forge might fit the bill and you can get the pose you want.  The STL cheap enough and you can get them printed out by a service if you do not own a printer.

The old Grenadier Future Warriors cyborg (now available from Forlorn Hope) might fit the bill?

The Anvil Regiments Automota may fit the bill.

Otherwise, the Fallout Institute Synths may work, although they're bigger than 28/32mm.

Mantic's Enforcers range came to mind looking at the original picture. A head swap and a suitable paint job might work?

Do they need to have a human face to count as humanoid?
