What I painted
« on: 23 January 2024, 03:20:57 AM »
Joined the Analog Hobbies painting challenge this time to attempt to get me motivated to paint in a more consistent manner in spite of real life and other health issues.  So far it has been fairly successful as therapy exercises have balanced out issues due to painting, reading and other hobby related fine motor control activities.

Technically from the end of 2023...

Finished off the very last of my Sudan figures. Poor forlorn primed figures... now painted.  I don't have any army for them to lead anymore but they are painted.

Delving into Pulp, the largest vein of the lead mountain we have:
My Supreme leader (CD Double Agent) & her henchmen. Team Evil's mascot is lurking in the background.
Additional terrain from the creative genius of Has.been.

All figures are from Crooked Dice.  The bulk minion purchase for Danger 5 Nazi forces include two blisters of the Lizard & Human brown shirt Nazi mooks.

Those look quite good. I like your choice of colours and it is an interesting mix of figures!

I love those lizard men. I was thinking when I first saw the picture - what humans would team up with lizard people? Ahh, of course! Nazis..."I hate Nazis!"  lol

Nazi's are great bad guys for pulp. They can turn up anywhere... lol

The eclectic mix is partially due to my participation in a winter painting challenge at Analog Hobbies blog. Included in the challenge is a interesting theme generator (this year it's a library) that gives extra points if you paint figures that match the theme. Your points goal is what you set and the points really don't have any purpose other than self motivation. That said it is fairly effective as I am trying to complete most of the library sections.  lol

Lots of interesting stuff is posted daily.

Great to see another LAF'er participating in the AHPC (I think there may be a few of us).

Definitely a few familiar painting styles.

Thanks all.

Some more from the AHPC this January:
The face of this cast or sculpt was a little off so went with more of an undead ghostly look for her

Some truly well aged figures from the lead mountain. Bought on their release but not painted until now:
