USMC ( United Space Marine Corps )
« on: January 24, 2024, 06:04:53 PM »
Here are my USMC ( United Space Marine Corps )
Check out the previous posts.
The flying APC's/Air Taxi ( still have to come up with a suitable name ) are scratchbuilt. laser cut card, coffee pod end bits & 3D printed weapons.
The Spin washing liquid drop pod is also finished ( I did 5 of them + generic decals , though not in pics ).
The mechs are 3d printed and I still need to do the power armour next.
More pics on link

Thanks for your comments.

Those look brilliant! I’m amazed at what you put together from stuff that would usually go in the trash.

Those are great! The paint job works really well, and the Marines insignia is a great touch as well.

Thank you both.
Pattus - Most definitely - Save the Planet & Save money ( to buy more minis  ;) :D :D)

WM - I have added the USMC insignia for those who might need it. Nothing says space more than Saturn.

That's really awesome! 8)

Only 10 years ago, nobody could have dreamed that people could lasercut and 3D print their own unique designs at home!

The whole lot looks great though, including the minis and paintjobs; a coherent and recognizeable force. I really like the powerarmoured suits too :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Lovely stuff! I particularly like the "gunship" version and the drop pod.

Everything looks great but I especially like the mechs.  Did you design them yourself?

Great looking builds... I do wonder how many troopers slip coming down the ramp and end up being diced by the rotors though  ;)

Zrunelord,
Loving all of this. We see where the power armor troops are from, but where are the APC weapons and mecha from as well?

Thank you all for all the comments,

Daeothar - yes indeed, nowadays it is so much "easier" to scratch build ( easier in the sense that there are so many more tools ) . The problem is to remember
where one gets all the bits & pieces from  ;D

The mechs ( not mine but slightly kitbashed ), among more nice designs are to be found here ) The Ogre .https://www.thingiverse.com/mechaboys/designs

The troops ( kitbashed with pouches etc, Saw's, ML's & some more poses ) are as indicated here https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/jais-carabinere. Very cheap.
I printed them also in 6mm & 10mm. The seated poses are great for mounting in/on vehicles.

Akula - USMC official info states that those are antigrav heat vanes not rotors  ;) :D :D. So most probably no one was diced ( That would too ugly to think off & horrible end to a career )

Grimmnar - The apc weapons are from KMFP . If I am not mistaken from this set https://printedwargames.com/shop/product/orbital-knights-battle-walker-suit/

More will follow

Grimmnar - To continue,
I was going through the files , look up KMFP Assault Speeders, Heavy Apc's & turrets also they all have heavy weapon sponsons.
Can't remember exactly which ones I used for this build.
