Another thread I can't believe I missed.

Your dwarfs look great; with a painting style that really complements the sculpts.
And the foes look just as good

The forces of chaos are looking good! I especially like the troll, those older sculpts had a lot of character and your painting brings out the details really well.

Thanks for the kind words. :)
I got the chaos warband ready. I kinda rushed the beastmen cause I wanted to paint some Empire mini's. :D
The beastmen look fine for now. I might go back and do some more highlights on the skin and horns.

I painted a small patrol of Empire mini's for saturday. They consist of wargames foundry, citadel and some Fire Forge minis. I decided to make some backstory for the patrol so here we go:

The Empire patrol is from Helmgart, the imperial fortress and market town in the Grey Mountains. The patrol is made of Town guard halberdiers, Greenshield swordsmen, Handgunner detachment from Altdorf. The warband is lead by Heinrich Von Mackensen, the cousin of Margrave Reindhardt Von Mackensen. Reinhardt is accompanied by his loyal bodyguard Iron Boris.

I'll post some photos from our games.
Cheers!

Lovely work, the warband looks really nice.

Green and black is a surprisingly underutilized colour scheme

Thanks! There is only little fluff written about Helmgart. I managed to find Helmgart coat of arms, it's from the game Vermintide. It has a black cross on green  field which I tried to mimic on the shields. I used some Black Templar transfers for the cross.

We played 4 games of Warhammer 6th edition skirmish yesterday. We used Guerrilla Miniatures Blood Dragon campaign rules. There were 3 gamers and 4 warbands, Empire, Chaos, dwarves and Bretonnia.
The games were really fun and tightly fought.
Bretonnians won the campaign. Their cavalry were really tough opponent against Beastmen and dwarfs a as their lances +2 strenght attacks killed easily toughness
4 opponents.
Below some thematic photos from the games.
