So, we finally had a chance to play this scenario. It didn’t turn out the way I expected it would. The Mexicans bravely assaulted the walls but were only able to kill a single legionnaire while losing dozens of their own. In the software business we like to say, “this is why we test”.

It seems that the FFL were a bit overpowered. The Mexicans had a pretty high hurdle to overcome. Each unit in good order rolled 12 dice to get sixes for a hit, but with the French in hard cover they had to roll four hits to get one kill. The statistics were against them.

I’m going to take this back to the drawing board and make a few adjustments and then we’ll try it again. Everyone was very enthusiastic about the game and I think we all had fun. If I can make the formula work, then I’d like to run this at Milleniumcon later this year.

A superb spread. I'm sure it will be loads of fun to play it once you iron out the kinks in the scenario design.  :)
