2nd Afghan War
« on: 13 March 2024, 04:36:46 PM »
First three units for The Men Who Would Be Kings rules. 28mm Perrys. Painted over the weekend and finished today. Painted using Slapchop, Speed Paints, Contrast & traditional methods. Next up 40 Wargames Atlantic Tribal Afghans

And some artillery been around in my stash for 30years (just waiting for bases to arrive)
If it isn't enjoyable, it isn't gaming!

Still not quite finished basing, as I ran of 2p's, two Tribal infantry units Wargames Atlantic and a cannon, the figures at the front are extras atm, Flags will be used for irregulars and musicians for Tribals! Just noticed a couple of errors which need sorting!

Afghan Cavalry by Wargames Atlantic. Although they go together really nicely I used some of the bits from the infantry sprue as the cavalry heads do not having any "shouting/ screaming".

They look great. I had bought some years ago and found them very fun to paint.

Another two units for TMWWBK! 😂🤘And the reason why some of the cattle are on double bases! Really pleased how these turned out! Speed paints (cattle) and Contrast and acrylics for Nellie!

Fantastic! Do you have a method for the dapples on the cattle or do you just slap paint on and hope? Looks great either way :)

I drybrush a white and use the first ed Speed paints, which give this effect, which looks very natural!
