The Squid Lady and her skull friend have pupils now and I've added water effects on top of a layer of uv resin for her beach base. Today has been really productive with first finishing the skellie chariot (see here if interested.

But now it's time for a round of Manor Lords  :D

Had a rather serious cough that kept me down for way too long but yesterday I started kitbashing some kind of Samurai Warlock/Sorcerer. I found the collar part from a GW Necromancer and thought it would work really well for a kind of evil Quan Chi/Shang Tsung style mage.

I added it to a Fireforge Games plastic body and checked a couple of heads and I think I'm going with the bare samurai head from the FG kit. Though I also really like the GW Necromancer head and the Mantic zombie head. The GW Empire Wizard has a cool forked beard but also really funny ears :D

If I had been this long under the weather just a couple months ago it would probably have killed my hobbying for a couple of months. But now I was really antsy to paint and build again (I've actually spent this afternoon painting more skeletons!). Making an account on here was a great decision.

Next up is deciding if cloak or no cloak and what to do with the arms.

My vote would be for a cloak but not sure how the arms would sit under it...

Possibly start with the arms and see if a cloak works?

I've finished building the samurai warlock :)

I'm not totally convinced if the pouch works. Might still swap it for a bound scroll.

Paint wise I see him in dark red, black and silver. I want to make the paper in his left hand look like a jiangshi talisman (last pic).

Absolutely loathed the pouch the moment i saw it on the pics  :?

I think zwischen works way better now. Bits are from the Frostgrave Wizards kit.

Closed the gap in the cloak with another bit of Nighthaunt cloak and a touch of sprue goo. Will need a bit of sanding and touch up later.

Will swap right hand for the hour glass from the Imperial Wizard kit later, too. Kinda like the sword in the left but might still go for a staff or just an empty hand.

You are produving some brilliant stuff all round! I really love your use of UV resin for the flaming arrow and the octopus girl and beach base is spectacular!
I have nothing important to say so just keep on scrolling.
