Ok, resin and tufts aplenty. A stray barrel and some logs… I really don’t like the straw coloured tufts though, far too regular. They may be coming off…

A mix of light and dark green tufts would bulk out the straw and not be out of place for an autumn setting.  Should negate the need to remove the other tufts.

yeah, I've a mix of dead and autumnal at the moment... it's more the fact the WSS tufts are all exactly the same size and shape.

The mininatur and geek gaming ones I've used are a more random and varied lot. I'm thinking replacing them with similar colour, but just not the WSS ones. Never buying them again.

Add some small bushes that will break things up.

Ah, my eyesight fails me. 

That said, they blend into the surroundings too well. A little variety in colour and size might break it up a bit.  Depending on where you are setting this scene, some reeds against the wet bits might help as well.

All in all though they look pretty damn good as is.

I’m calling them done. It’s been ages to finish these, what with limited space and waiting for various layers of grass and resin to set. The new tufts helped I think, much more variety in shape.
