12-13th century retinues *update 15/05/2024
« on: 06 May 2024, 09:26:58 PM »
Hello,

Another attempt to keep a plog up to date. ;)

First mini is the freebie from the Styriwar kickstarter "Divide et Impera".

A foot knight. :) He hails from somewhere in the Holy Roman Empire. The rest is still undecided.

Quite excited about the release of these.  I'm going to print them in 40mm and mix more variety into my never ending Bouvines project.  They look quite nice.

Nice model, and beautifully painted.
But...isn't he holding that axe in a rather odd way? You'd have one hand over and one hand under so you could bring it into action. Unless he's about to place it on top of a shelf or something...

Yeah, you are correct, but I guess the enemies are far away ;).

Looks like a commoner is getting uppity, and he's getting ready to put them in their place; in a very humane, 13th Century manner.

Hello,

A new update. I painted 3 sergeants, two of them still need weapons and all three still need a shield. I will add those when the Divide et Impera KS from Styriwar is finished and have the STLs.

Slowly my retinue for the Barons War ruleset is growing.  :D

I would trust the ol' sarge in the green hat. He's left-handed! Just kidding. I'm left-handed, so I'm hyper-aware of these things. They look great.

edit: Actually, looking at it, he's batting right-handed. Which is how I bat (and golf) as a left-handed person in Canada. I blame the hockey.
