A demon of flame and shadow…
« on: 25 May 2024, 04:59:49 PM »
Today I’m sharing a just-finished (yesterday) villain from The Embattled Realms, one Daracho DarkFire. He’s a demon of flame and shadow (basically a Tolkien Balrog) and will be playing a significant role in an army of Hellspawn I’m working on. The figure is an old Grenadier sculpt painted, as always, with Reaper Miniatures paints.

His stats for Fights of Fantasy are:

Daracho DarkFire
Demon Of Flame & Shadow

Role: Character
Size: Very large (1-1/2”x1-1/2” base)
Type: Biped
Speed: Slow
Domain: Aerial
Class: Melee
Status: Notorious (evil version of notable)
Nature: Evil
Options: Morale attack
Movement: 7 land, 20 air
Wounds: 4
Melee Attacks: 1 (enchanted 1H sword, +2 melee modifier, +2 damage)
Damage: 4
Melee Modifier: +6
Missile Modifier: 0
Morale Modifier: +3
Armor: Enchanted heavy (+5 to melee attack and defense and missile defense rolls. Affects movement)
Shield: Enchanted medium (+3 to melee attack and defense and missile defense rolls)

Base worth: 92 worth
Worth of options: 46 worth
Worth of armor: 24 worth
Worth of shield: 20 worth
Worth of weapon: 16 worth
Final worth: 198 worth

Looks amazing.

Has a Ray Harryhausen feel to it; you can see the beast moving slightly jerkily towards a group of heroes.

That's funny, that was my immediate thought too. I really like that mini. Nice work on it too.
