Tank Dimensions
« on: 24 June 2024, 04:10:23 PM »
Does anyone have one of the Airfix 1/76 MK1 tanks and, if so, could you tell me how tall the model is, please.
Botton of the tracks to top of the tracks is what I'm looking for.

I know some may say 'just divide the actual height by 76', but experience shows that what size a model should be sometimes bears no relation to what it actually is.
So I would be very grateful if someone who has one could let me know.
Cheers

Here is the Airfix kit side-by-side with the Emhar version.

I have comparison/dimension shots of the Emhar Whippet and A7V on my blog as well:  https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2024/06/172-scale-great-war-tanks-airfix-emhar.html

That's really useful, thanks.
I want to use it as the base for a conversion alongside 28mm figures.
It's not going to be a 'mk 1 tank' when finished, or even used in WW1 games. I just wanted to make sure the hull was tall enough.
Again, thanks for your help.
