I've been a long time lurker, first time joiner. Been a fan of wargaming from a young age, but only in the past few years was I able to get serious about it. While for a long time I was mostly a warhammer fan, my very earliest memories of the hobby were browsing geocities webrings and other small sites way back in the early 00's, absorbing a love of VSF and the craft of making things and painting lead and pewter to have a good time with friends.
Past that, my return to the hobby was influenced by my local scene; warhammer was the easy-in but a long running series of Necromunda campaigns solidified my love of skirmish games with few-but-characterful models, and while my love of craft led me down the rabbit hole of kitbashing anything I could get my hands on, the past few years have seen me turn my gaze back to collecting and enjoying lead and pewter. Hence signing up here on the recommendation of a friend.
At present my favorite genres are Sci-Fi, Pulp, and VSF. I've got a small collection of Historical stuff (Dark Ages and WW2 mostly), and I have a somewhat narrowly focused interest in Fantasy. My current work pace could be described as "glacial" and I'm hoping that having a place to post my progress will encourage me, ha ha.
