[KS] Critter Bits - 28mm anthropomorphic animal heads and tails!

This is a little kickstarter that I have just launched for 28mm metal animal heads wearing Napoleonic Shakos, Bicornes & Tricornes. I love converting miniatures to make unique models for gaming and collecting, by adding these heads to plastic arms and bodies from your bits box you can make some fun anthropomorphic pirates and Napoleonic soldiers!



These are some of the Napoleonic style heads. I'm planning to put a couple of small forces together to play some games using the Song of Blades & Heroes Napoleonic supplement, Drums & Shakos plus Sharp Practice.



We also have animal heads with Stetsons, Sombreros, Conical helms, berets and many more.



I'd like to add lots more options to this range. We have 40 new heads sculpted, we could easily do more, but first I need to use Kickstarter to check that there is anyone in the world other than me, who would be interested in these!

I think that if I show up with any more anthropomorphic animal miniatures to my friends' historical games, they might ban me from playing with them. That said, I think these are really nice.

Last week I put a quick set of conversions together using some of the excellent plastic Gunfighters from Great Escape Games together with some animal heads with Sombreros from the Critter Bits CB11 - Mixed Sombreros set. We have four animal heads available wearing Sombreros (Dog, Ferret, Hare & Cat), the CB11 set contains 12 heads and tails (3 of each type).

Both swashbuckling pirate conversion used Critter Bits heads in Tricorne and Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago plastic crewman body and arms.

This morning I finished painting my second batch of nine 'French' style anthropomorphic conversions.



This batch used bodies and arms from Perry Miniatures plastic French Napoleonic Infantry set.
I used a variety of head types including Cat in Bicorne and Mole, Shrew, Mouse & Bear in French style Shakos.



The mole with glasses is one of my favourites, although the mouse also has a lot of character.



The opposition has arrived. 'British' style Rabbit Infantry using Victrix bodies and arms.




Many of these heads will only be available to Kickstarter backers. Kickstarter ends this Friday (9th August).
