Indus miniatures
« on: September 03, 2024, 07:26:39 PM »
Good day everyone.
Not certain where to place this topic, so my apologies if I get it wrong. Anyway, does anyone know if Indus miniatures is still in business. I placed an order last week, received a Paypal invoice but nothing from Indus miniatures. Similarly, I emailed them for confirmation of my order but heard nothing. Any info someone may have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
Cheers!
Joe

Bonsoir John

I hope for your sake that this company is still active.
A few years ago, I ordered from them several times. I actually noticed that there is no communication from them.
They are not talkative, like old-fashioned "Rustic".... You order what you want ... you pay ... and you wait in front of your mailbox.

Bonne chance

Michel

110th:

I have no insider knowledge but I recently saw a post by the owner, which includes his email address, over on TMP ("The Miniatures Page"), announcing he was looking for a buyer to sell the business to.  Here's a link to that post, in case you want to try and email him directly:

As Gentilhomme said above, I wish you the best.

Thank you very much for the replies. Greatly appreciated. Well, now I  know he's still operating to some extent. That's a start.
Cheers!

Hopefully the company will be sold properly so that it can continue production.

I don't think I've seen any other figurine producers from this period of India and with this diversity of costumes.

I think we'll have to stock up if unfortunately .....

I once ordered through Wargames Emporium.
However, I'm not sure they still stock them. It’s a shame I could have done with a few more.

That said, mine are unpainted, so it’s probably a good thing I didn’t buy more..

Well, wow.  People have gotten astonishingly impatient.  It takes time to collect an order, sometimes cast the figures once ordered, get them packed - and then get them picked up or provided to a shipping point.  A two week gap between order and delivery is pretty damned good service.  I recommend the OP be a bit more patient in the future.  Though point about communication is valid.  Still...

Actually, for those who like the figures, be glad he's offering to sell the range - and hope someone picks it up.  Too often, ranges just go "poof" into the ether, witness The London War Room or Frontier Miniatures (the Florida version) as classic examples, and are never heard from again.

Well, Fifteensaway I  suggest you read my initial post again.  I  did not complain about the service or the delivery time regarding Indus miniatures at any time. I  merely asked if the company was still in business, as I  never received any confirmation of my purchase from the company. I only received confirmation from PayPal that they withdrew the money from my account.
