I have found something which is on Amazon a Tv Series called Hernan, sadly not available in UK, but the clips look glorious. Aztec Capitol views are brilliant

I just found it and am sobered up. German Amazon charges €30 for the paperback (156p). I need to find another source.

This is as all in accordance with the prophecy. A strange text arrives and is lusted after by many. It really is like gold dust.

Got my copy today - have to admit it's not a lot of book for twenty quid (but The Sprog paid for it so I'm smiling.... apparently the assistant in Waterstones was highly embarrassed having to charge that much for so small a book)

I will be reading it in 'his' voice  8)

That’s odd. When I enquired about it in Waterstones I was told they couldn’t order it as it was only available through the website, so I bought it from Amazon as I figured it would be quicker. (It was delivered on a Sunday so the chances are I was right). I suppose if you order through Waterstones online you could opt to collect it in store and pay then but I wasn’t told this.

Didn't have any issues at all.... went into Waterstones in Lincoln as I was passing through (had your link bookmarked on the 'phone), pre-ordered, gave them an email address and checked that it would be OK for my daughter to collect it as she works in town), offered to pay for it then and there (they didn't want that.... to avoid a refund if they couldn't get it?) and a week later got an email from  them saying it was ready to collect.

Thoroughly enjoying it; it would have made one hell of a film.

As an aside, the Sprog messaged me last night to say I still owed her twenty quid  ::)

I’ll throw one more name into the hat: Michael Bay...  with Vin Diesel as Motecuhzoma.

That would be fabulous, with the Mexican warriors hurling exploding darts!
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

And a title song by Katy Perry? Hmm…I suppose that means Orlando Bloom as Cortez. Actually, I’m not quite so sure about this…
