Force Focus - US-Mexican War using Sharp Practice
« on: 09 September 2024, 02:58:03 PM »
Hey all, I have been working on this conflict for a few years now. I'm proud to share another update with more painted guys, unit cards, and a short battle report.

SP is my favorite system, and I think this setting and troops make a great game!

There is some good work in there.  And some nicely painted minis!

Thanks! I recently acquired a MAW force that was originally intended for big battles, and still will be, but the figures were based in a way to also make them work for SP, so this will be great to follow. I just need leaders, NCOs etc. before I can get my own stuff in action.

Looks great. I've thought of using SP for this period using the extensive range from 1st Corps. Its a shame that the 2FL's supplement you mention in the blog seems to be no longer available. Its certainly not on the SP part of their webshop.

Looks good! SP is always the right answer! ;) To be honest the battles were mostly not that big anyway (at least when compared to Napoleonic or ACW). So I think SP is a perfect fit.

You might find that supplement on the Gringos 40 website (?). I think it was done with their figures in mind originally.

Hi, it's in the Vintage Lard part because technically its outdated - you can still use the ideas in it for SP2 though. https://toofatlardies.co.uk/product-category/vintage-lard/

Muggins, many thanks. I hadn't spotted the "Vintage Lard" section before. Several other items there I might also be interested in.

Regards

Hell yeah! I really do love the US-Mexican War supplement as it has a ton of great info.

Thanks for sharing muggins. The figures look great and I'm looking forward to seeing how the campaign develops.

Like you. I'm fascinated by this conflict and have been working on building up my own opposing forces and terrain.
Don't!
