(I was tempted to go with the colour base from the old "Magic:CCG" 3 Kingdoms set (White, Blue and Black), or the schemes from "Dynasty Warriors" - though in that case history be damned)

Dynasty Warriors?! Why not use an actually historically authentic source (and 95% of the reason I'm interested in the Warring States period)?

 

I will say, black and red does look like a cool pick for Qin. I wonder: would the various Chinese kings supply their soldiers with clothing? Or would they just be expected to show up wearing their regular clothes...

I suspect they would just purchase it themselves on Temu or Shein.
