Von Stroheim. Very interesting. I've just come back from a holiday in the Czech Republic and Poland, having visited Austria, Slovakia and Hungary two years ago.  A fascinating if in some ways rather depressing period of history .I just hope a single MAA volume can do it justice.

One of the very best museums I’ve been to was the military museum in Sofia, Bulgaria. Stunning collection of kit, most of which was not even behind glass! I spent a LONG time there.

Almost certainly not but then they attempted to compress a half-century of Latin American wars and civil conflicts ranging from Mexico to Brazil into the format.

The point, if any, to most Osprey publications is to pique your interest in a subject and convince you to go and research it yourself. The illustrations draw you in and hopefully the bibliography gives you something to go on. Alas, for many it doesn't or the cited references are generic or third hand sources. Still, they do serve a purpose in drumming up interest.

Not having read the promotional blurb, I'm guessing it will be heavy on Béla Kun's revolutionary Hungary and the Romanian riposte along with a focus on the German Revolution.
