Best Mid to Late War 28mm British Infantry
« on: 12 December 2024, 11:28:06 AM »
Who makes the best mid to late war 28mm British infantry - ideally metals?

I am aware of Artizan, Crusader, Perry, Warlord, Empress and Westwind. Is there anyone I have missed?

They look great but Black Tree have a bad reputation for very poor customer service which would put me off.

Artizan are probably who I will go with.

I’ve looked at all the British out there

I went Late War British from Crusader, the nicest sculpted, most realistic posed figures out there. IMNSHO.

Crusader are probably the most underrated ranges out there. Absolutely first class..

Yes 1st Corps is good, they also allow you to choose between steel helmets with or without covers which is nice.

I have to agree with you. I've painted quite a few figures from multiple Crusader ranges (including the W2 Brits) and they are great. Something about Mr. Sims' sculpting style makes it seem like the figures are painting themselves.

Thanks for all the comments chaps  :)

Although Crusader and Artizan are mutually compatible figures, the Crusader Brits looked a bit chunkier from the photographs. I will get some samples to compare with some of the Artizan figures I have. I do have some Crusader Germans in greatcoats and they are excellent scupts.
