I have had this same conundrum earlier this week with wills building materials. My local model shop did not have and will not re-stock until after xmas what I wanted and every site I went to had fairly high p&p.

I found what I wanted on ebay and contacted the seller who then quoted a reasonable combined shipping amount.

The other option, someone such as myself could purchase what you require and post it on at cost?

I've been getting good service here, but I stopped with the small bags (which sell between 6 and 10 euros locally here in Holland) and went for the big shakers that only cost 10 dollars.

Just a suggestion but maybe posting this in Workbench would be better? I know you've posted in VSF because that's what you're doing, but the fact it's a VSF army is kinda irrelevant to the terrain question, isn't it? It's more about 'is there a (cheap reliable) supplier of 2mm trees in Australia?' I'd say.

I hesitate to send someone to another forum, but TerraGenesis is about the best terrain-making forum on the web in my opinion, and there are several Australians on it who must be getting their supplies from somewhere (I know it's a big place though, and none of them might be working with 2mm trees).

Maybe you could ask around over there as well as here? The url is http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/ - there may even be a way you haven't thought of to scratch-build them (probably out of old pan scourers and twigs or maybe paper clips with masking tape on them, if I'm any judge at all).

If you are actually in Sydney, can you just go to a model railway shop and pick up what you need off the shelf?

Or maybe visit the Tin Soldier?

You will save on both shipping costs and time!
