lovely, I'm absolutely convinced that someone does Last of the Summer Wine figures... I can see Foggy in my head...

I want to say the style is similar to the Big Bang Theory figures someone did, but I don't remember who that was and I could be making it all up...

Also, thanks to David Bezio the author, for letting us have this lovely little set of rules for virtually nothing.

No, thank YOU for sharing this!  In these trying times in the States, finding and reading this really made my day.  Everything about this was brilliant…but, apparently I have decades of reruns, of a show I didn’t know existed, to track down and watch now 🤣

For what it’s worth, the rules are now FREE…as is all my other stuff.  Miniature games have made my life so much better, and I’m so happy I’ve been able to make (at least) a little ripple in the pond.  I wrote ZRV because I wanted a zombie game that was super easy and fast when my daughter visited…I’m glad so many people are finding it a good fit for their needs.  Hopefully I will get to read (and see) more awesome (and creative) battle reports like this in the future.
My award winning miniature games….

Good to see you posting on this Dave. The next game in this little campaign will be played tomorrow, Mad Lord Snapcase hosting and me rolling the dice on the other end of the video link.

We’ve had great fun already with your rules - I’ll be posting an account of my own solo game later.

If you read this, maybe you can comment on a rules query I have? On the Survivor Kill table, it says "1-3, Alive and kicking as normal" but elsewhere, it says that a wounded survivor only has 1 action. This seems contradictory.

Anyway, congratulations on a set of rules that has caught the imagination of quite a few already and thanks for making them available.

Doug

I'm really glad you enjoyed my report. Zombie RV transposes very well into rural Britain! We had great fun with the rules and as Doug says, tomorrow we are playing 'Into the Compound' and hopefully a second AAR will appear here.

Foggy (to Compo):  Where's Chulmleigh?  Did you kill Chulmleigh?

Compo:  I had to.  It was either that, or he gets it from one of those bloody buggers...

Foggy:  Well, he was a good boy.  We'll miss him...

That was an interesting and entertaining report.  It is entirely too bad about Chulmleigh.  But sometime ya gotta do what ya gotta do... :?

M'Lord, I think I'm keen on riding a camper now! The report was much fun to read and I look forward to learn more of the deeds they'll be doing!  :D

Having done a bit of looking, I've seen some of the collectable large figures, some caricatures on Etsy and some shockingly priced OO scale railway figures of the characters, but none in 28mm. There is a definite niche to be filled here - UK sitcom figures from, say, Last of the Summer Wine, Only Fools and Horses, Rising Damp, Open All Hours, Porridge or the Young Ones (although I think someones already done them). I think there is a demand for them as wargame figures!

Very nicely summed up Snappers. You neglected to mention that it became expedient to, er, "damage" the "young survivors" so they couldn’t run too quickly. It’s tough out there and Old Guys Rule…!

Doug

This is a rather curious statement,  does it mean you chaps were not playing with a straight bat.   :o :o survival of the old is of paramount importance, especially now that we're approaching sight of that time. ;)

Great report Lord Snapcase, sorry to hear about Chumleigh but he's in doggy heavan now.

A near disaster averted. Not the best of times to run out of ammunition. I think Compo was the man-of-the-match

One of the model railway manufacturers used to do Nora and Compo in 25mm whitemetal, I had them years ago. Compo was in flat cap and scruffy suit with his hands in his pockets, and Nora was giving him some brush.  Can’t remember who made them (might have been scalelink) unfortunately, but they were decent sculpts, probably the only decent railway figures out there.

Very nice. Every time I look at Crooked Dice I want more of their figures, whether I have the time to paint them or a game system for them or not, they're just great characterful figures that I'd like to own. Sadly my limited wargames budget can't stretch to everything I'd like so I tend to avoid looking too often - far too great a temptation!

I’ll look forward to it…that’s (personally) my favorite scenario…never plays out the same way twice 🙂

Yeah, I guess that’s not a perfect choice of words.  Consider it “still alive”…or consider “normal” as the current condition of the model. 🤷🏻‍♂️
