I got the email and I have to say I'm unexpectedly intrigued. The Peninsular War never really appealed to me much as the only plastics available were for the British and French (and somewhat so for the Portuguese and Vistula Legion), making it seem like a British sideshow. Making the Spanish available in plastic makes getting out of the British focus and into the bigger picture much more feasible.

Ooh!  Reading the FB post, combining the two boxes of marching and firing poses will allow skirmishing and casual poses.  Command frame to be released separately.

Great news! Fun thing is that several months ago (just when they stated that Alan is working on a new set of plastics) in our usual wargaming chat with a friend of mine I've somewhat predicted this set to be released, but doubted it since the Spanish had such non-uniformed look, it'd be hard to include that many options in a plastic kit. However Perry's did it. Incredible!

Good to see the Spanish getting some love. I have a big all metal (well one plastic regiment) Spanish army so there wont be anything here I need. Down here in New Zealand I can get a battalion of metal Elite Miniatures from Australia (including postage) for less than the cost of a box of Perry plastics.

I was looking for conversions options regarding plastic 1830's Mexicans and then these are released - combined with the French plastic sets, some cutting and green stuff I'm going to be able to convert some good looking mexicans, can't wait!

Great news.  I have Warlord resin Spanish—all pretty much the same marching pose and well equipped in kit and uniform and impossible to kit bash.  I really want more round hats and individual scruffiness!  Kitbashing for Gothic Horror is another plus.  I want to put these heads on oathmark cultists…

I was here as I?ve been tempted to start a Peninsular Spanish project after revisiting Sharpe, but also have been converting 1830s Mexicans out of plastic Perry French, so I?ll have to look at these with a view to adding to that project too!
