Ottoman Empire
« on: 23 February 2025, 11:29:41 AM »
Ottoman Empire. 16th century.
Spahis, also known as sipahis, are the elite cavalry of the nobility, 6 horses and 12 riders. Spears are separate, the holes for the spears are walled up for casting.

These look very nice indeed!  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

It would be great if the miniatures armed with pistols could have "arm/hand swaps" for swords/spears as this would make them useful for the Late 15th CE- this would definitely be a bonus to your range as there are literally no full Ottoman ranges for the Late 15th CE out there.

Which leads me onto my next question, do you have plans to fully expand the range to include Akinjis, Delhis, Spahis of the Porte, Azabs and Janissaries etc?

And finally, what of the above would be usable in a Late 15th CE Medieval Ottoman army please?

Thanks :)

Thank you for your attention to this project.
Now in production are arrows from firearms tüfekci. But the muskets will be flint (not matchlock)

In the future there will be temriots, (cavalry in the 17th century),

1. Akinci - cavalry of local formations (peasant militias,)

2. Deli - translated as madmen.

3. Crimean Tatars

4. Janissaries

6. Levendy mercenary detachments.

7. Seimens, they are also sekbans (analogous to dragoons, I will make mounted ones in shooting 12 figures and 6 horses)

8. Sipahi - Asian

9. Azaps. Youth with bows 12 figures

10. Artillerymen 12 figures

11. Officers (sultans, agas, etc.) 12 figures (6 mounted, 6 foot)

12. group of attackers with cold weapons.

the list is not complete. Additions are quite possible

;-)

Beautiful sculpts!  :-*

At the time of Timur? They look to be Timurid successors? Am I right?
