What is even worse than pirates? It's female pirates! But be warned, all ye seafaring womenfolk: The Empire shows no mercy!

It's been since the days when I joined LAF sixteen years ago, that I set sails for the Caribbean last time. Now that a mad lord from Devonshire and his fellows did it, something got the old scar started to itch again. I thought it was time to climb lead mountain and dig deep for more crew members and urge them to rally on the painting table. About 100 have assembled, greedy for rum and loot. My designated opponent is busy rigging his first ship, therefore I think I can allow myself to paint a few objective markers first. Whether these are daughters of the Empire to be liberated by brave Royal Marines or pirates to be saved by their fellows will be decided on the tabletop.

Captain Blood - Please can you delete this post?  I'm no prude but I hope you will share my view that  this kind of disturbing imagery is not appropriate, here or anywhere.  In addition to it being fundamentally offensive, it does the wargaming hobby no credit.

These kind of miniatures will not be approved of by everyone, and some people will undoubtedly deem them inappropriate. But the OP has included the NSFW warning in the title, in line with the rules.
As the rules say, the forum’s preference is not to censor any figure as far as possible. These things are a matter of personal taste and always lead to arguments about where you draw the line. The best policy, if you see the ‘not suitable for work’ warning, is probably not to look at the post in question if you think it may include figures you may find offensive.

It might be helpful if the (NSFW) tag is the first part of the thread title - that way it still shows if you click threads via the left hand "Latest" menu.

And yeah, this sort of stuff is cringy as hell at best.

This is a good idea and I amended the title now. I will follow this from now on.

I understand your points, but these were not sculpted by me. I only bought and painted them. They wouldn‘t sell if nobody buys. Nobody could buy if they weren‘t shown somewhere.
Censorship would then be successful.

Those who read my posts will find a few marked NSFW. I don‘t want to offend anybody and don‘t feel offeded by AARs that expose the most horrible situations one can imagine (or not). War gaming is naturally subject to imagined and visualised violence, I think.
None of the miniatures I have displayed here suffer any wounds, are tortured or anything worse.

Lovely work as always Michi, my 2c would go towards encouraging more posts like this, few of us can match your skill with fleshtones on gaming figures.

Don't let the haters get to you (especially the coward who hides behind a new alt account just to bad mouth your work and call for it to be censored). The web is full of idiots who think they have the right to "educate" others on what they should like and think.
