One of the games run a last month's meeting of the DWG was a modified use of The Pikemans Lament ruleset to recreate the action at The Battle of the Spurs 1513.

Plenty of flouncy shirts, longbows, crossbows and of course big men on big horses clad in plate armour were involved and much fun had by all.

Great looking game.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Very enjoyable. On your blog you noted:

"The rules already accounted for most of the units used during the Italian Wars, but I made a few minor adjustments to unit profiles, including tweaks for longbowmen and stradiots."

Could you say what the tweaks were?

Impressive write up! I appreciate the time you took to share some knowledge, it was very interesting. Great looking battle. I was just browsing Pikeman's Lament the other day as an option to get stuck in with a reasonable model count.
