20th Century Dayaks
« on: May 21, 2025, 03:50:23 AM »
Having just read "Semut" by Christine Helliwell, I'm having thoughts on SOF types in Borneo for the operations she talks about in the book. My search has only found a Punan warrior in the Commando range that Warbases now sell and they tell me that was the only figure in the range. Other Dayaks are made by Eureka Miniatures but they are only armed with spears and swords. Does anyone know of suitable figures in 28mm for this relatively unknown conflict?
Cheers,

The closest figures I can think of is the two-figure Iban tracker set produced by Britannia/ Grubby Miniatures in their 28mm Malayan Emergency range. Not WW2 but a only a few years after. Nice figures and there are photos on the website.

They appear to be the same figures. The trackers are a bit too modern and "Regular" for the ones I was envisaging. But thanks.
