Mind-blowing and highly recommended!   :o
Impossible you can't find time to play this game.  lol

Of course, we will tweak it to suit ourselves, and some of us will ruin it, but there it is.  ::)
"The U.S. Army's mission is to fight and win the nation's wars,
and its vision is to be a global force that fights at the scale required."

Sir, I respectfully suggest 1/56 & 1/100 as the best scales in which to fight...!

Great review!

These rules are very interesting in their simplicity - the author posts on LAF, and has now produced variants for many different eras.

Interesting but not for me. I have some large collections and our group enjoys bigger battles with more chrome and length than that.

Least it's cheap for those who want to try it.  :)

Nothing wrong with a big fantasy game - I've played plenty of them myself.  Just don't always have the time, space and energy, not to mention the large player group.  Being in the Army, I also appreciate historicity for it's sake, and appreciate fantasy gaming for its sake.  Don't like to mix the two, however.

Agreed! I love a massed battle but it takes forever to set up, and it's hard to find a game that conveys the scale of the conflict while also being quick enough to play in an afternoon- This game certainly looks very interesting, thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Good point - there's a time and a place - and resources - for everything.  I can play 3-4 games of this between putting my kids to bed and going to bed.  Can't do that with most of my miniatures games.
